Enfuce enters Ireland with Payac partnership to future-proof card services for Irish credit unions.
Milestone migration of 125,000 cardholders marks Enfuce’s official launch in Ireland as Payac transitions from legacy infrastructure to Enfuce’s cloud-native processing platform.
Amsterdam, 4 June 2026 – Card issuing and processing powerhouse Enfuce has partnered with Payac, the Irish payments and financial services provider supporting credit unions across Ireland, on a landmark migration of 150,000 current accounts onto its cloud-native processing platform, marking one of the most significant payment infrastructure transformations in the Irish credit union sector.
The migration represents a major milestone in future-proofing payment services for Irish credit unions, while also representing Enfuce’s official entry into the Irish market and further accelerating the company’s continued expansion across Europe.
Payac is the largest organisation of its kind in the island of Ireland, representing approximately 180 credit unions across both community and industrial sectors, helping them deliver current accounts and connected debit card services. The migration to Enfuce will provide a more agile, scalable and resilient processing environment capable of supporting the evolving needs of both credit unions and their communities.
Many of the credit unions supported by Payac serve close-knit local communities, including more vulnerable demographics, who rely heavily on trusted local financial services. The migration has therefore been designed with a strong focus on continuity, accessibility and customer support throughout the transition process.
“Credit unions play a vital role in communities across Ireland, particularly for customers who may be underserved by traditional banking providers,” said Seamus Newcombe, CEO at Payac. “This migration is giving credit unions the technology and resilience they need to continue supporting their members through an increasingly digital financial landscape.”
“This partnership is a major milestone for Enfuce as we enter the Irish market and continue accelerating our growth across Europe,” said Denise Johansson, CEO and Co-Founder at Enfuce. “What makes this especially meaningful is the role credit unions play in people’s everyday lives and local communities. Together with Payac, we are proving that community-focused financial institutions should not have to choose between personal relationships and world-class digital experiences.”
The partnership further strengthens Enfuce’s position as a leading issuer processing partner for banks, fintechs and financial institutions seeking scalable, cloud-native payment infrastructure across Europe.
