Welcome back to another chapter of #MyEnfuceJourney, our blog series where we feature some of the bright minds who help Enfuce deliver awesomeness each and every day. Join us as we delve into the journeys that brought them here.

This time, we’re excited to speak with Tom Philbrooks, aka Phil, our Business Development Manager here at Enfuce. Besides being one of the smart people bringing the spark to our business development team, Phil has recently returned from a cycling journey to raise funds for a good cause.

Read on to discover how Phil and Enfuce collaborate to foster growth together, in and out of business.

Hi Phil, can you give us a brief introduction of your role at Enfuce?

Sure, I’m one of the first touchpoints that a prospective customer will have with Enfuce. It’s vital as a Business Development Manager that we give them an experience they won’t forget! Making a great first impression goes a long way. Showcasing our Enfuce values, our ways of working and most of all showing them what happiness in payments looks like!

What first brought you to Enfuce?

I joined Enfuce in the Summer of 2022, having spent 10 years in the payments industry I knew what it was like to work in this space. Enfuce was making some noise in the industry that I couldn’t ignore and after meeting Monika, Co-CEO and one of the founders I just knew it was the place for me. The focus and mission is what I love about Enfuce. That Enfuce feeling of when things just work, just as they should is what keeps you going day after day.

You have recently returned from a 980 mile cycling journey from Lands End to John o’Groats to raise funds in the memory of your Grandad. Can you describe the challenge you are taking on to cycle the length of the UK?

My Grandfather was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, a brain disorder that slowly destroys memory and thinking skills and, eventually, the ability to carry out the simplest tasks, a few years ago and I have been raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society ever since.

When he passed I knew I wanted to take on a challenge in his memory but it had to be something that wasn’t going to be easy. So that was it, the decision was made to cycle from Lands End, England to John O’Groats, Scotland. Which is a total of 9 days cycling a total distance of around 980 miles/1575km and climbing 58,000 ft/17,650m of elevation.

How can people take part in your journey and donate to this great cause?

If you would like to support me and the amazing work that the Alzheimers Society does to fund research into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia. Then there is a link here -any donation big or small is appreciated!

There you have it! A great story, about an awesome individual who truly embodies the Enfuce way of going beyond expectations. Be sure to read about our other superstar Enfucers like Solution Consultant, Michael Fabricius, who raises the bar for excellence everyday.
