This time, we’re excited to speak with Tiia Helokas, our Fraud Management Team Lead here at Enfuce.

Hi Tiia, can you give us a brief introduction of your role at Enfuce?
I work as a Fraud Management Team Lead at Enfuce. Together with our excellent Fraud team, we take care of the Fraud management services for our customers. Our teams’ responsibilities include a variety of tasks, everything from transaction monitoring and investigating fraud patterns, to developing new features and functionalities in our fraud management services.
What first brought you to Enfuce?
I joined Enfuce in January 2020. An open position in a growing company felt like a great chance to learn and utilize my previous experience in the fraud prevention field – also, it seemed like a perfect opportunity to start developing a fraud function for an early stage company. I had heard good recommendations about Enfuce, making the decision to join much easier.
How would you describe Enfuce in 3 words?
Meaningful, Interesting, Curious.
What has been the most memorable moment/achievement during your time here?
I have had several memorable moments during my 4,5 years at Enfuce, but the most memorable moment has been my return to work after parental leave.
After being away for a longer period of time and experiencing such a major life change, the thought of returning towork felt strange and overwhelming. But I didn’t have to worry about that – all the support and the warm welcome upon my return to work was truly amazing. I was well updated during my absence, and everything was organized when I was getting back to business. As my dear colleague Emilia Raappana said, “balancing work and private life has never been easier, thanks to our company’s flexibility.”
Can you describe a challenge you faced while working here and how you overcame it?
Fast evolving fraud patterns is a recurring challenge. For us, however, discovering new trends and being able to prevent the negative impact is our day-to-day reward, and the speed at which fraud evolves keeps us alert all the time.
From time to time, we face very complex scenarios, which are not easy to solve. However, with persistent work and our fantastic team efforts, we can solve even the trickiest cases, and utilize the learnings from that to improve our services in the future.
Looking at our company values (rich collaboration, smart people, beyond expectations, value creators) which one resonates with you the most and why?
All our company values are important, but the one that resonates the most with me is rich collaboration. Collaboration is not only important within our team and within Enfuce, but also externally – working together with our customers, our partners and the authoritative parties is crucial for us to maintain our excellent services.
Looking ahead, what are you excited about in the future?
I see myself and our marvelous team develop and design excellent solutions for our customers. Throughout my time at Enfuce, I have been truly inspired by my colleagues. I love how we are encouraged to think big every day and I appreciate our culture where not even the wildest ideas will be left unheard.
